An Important Update About Your Delta Dental Benefits

Dear Valued Patient,

We want you to know that you are always welcome at Scripps Rock Dental, and you can continue receiving the same personalized care you know and trust from our team.

Nothing about your relationship with our practice is changing. Only our insurance network status is.

Effective January 1, 2027, Scripps Rock Dental will no longer participate as a provider with Delta Dental. This does not mean you need to find a new dentist. You are still our patient, and we are still here to care for you: same doctors, same hygienists, same personalized attention.

What This Means for You

While we will be considered out of network with Delta Dental, this change may not affect your out-of-pocket costs at our practice. Your benefits and coverage depend on your specific Delta Dental plan, so we strongly encourage you to reach out to our team so we can help confirm how your benefits may be affected.

Every plan is different, and we are happy to review your benefits and provide an estimate of your expected out-of-pocket costs before treatment whenever possible. Please contact us with any questions or to confirm how this change may impact you personally.

If you already have an appointment scheduled, please keep it. There’s no need to cancel or find another dentist.

Why We’re Making This Change

This decision was made with your long-term care in mind. For more than 15 years, we have been out of network with all other dental insurance carriers, and we have continued to provide the same high level of personalized care our patients have come to expect.

Our decision regarding Delta Dental is rooted in that same commitment. We believe your dental care should be guided by what is clinically right for you and not by network requirements or insurance limitations. Remaining independent allows our doctors to recommend the treatment they believe is best for your oral health and long-term well-being.

If You Receive a Letter From Delta Dental

Delta Dental may contact you directly about this change. If you receive a letter, please know: you are still welcome at Scripps Rock Dental. Going out of network simply means our relationship with the insurance network is changing. It does not mean we’re no longer accepting you as a patient.

As open enrollment approaches, we can also help you understand the details of other dental insurance options so you can make an informed choice for you and your family. We’re here to make this transition as simple, transparent, and personalized as possible. Thank you for trusting us with your care. We look forward to seeing you at your next visit.

Warmly,

Dr. Gupta & Dr. Hatch
